The average person will explore life to find things that give them confidence and make them proud. The collection of these things is the backbone of our identity, and informs our personality. These things that give us confidence can be as random and unique as snowflakes, or as uniform and consistent as grains of sand. The average person will have a concupiscent blend of both.
Psychopaths will attack the sources of pride and confidence in others that are not under their control. The goal is to keep people unbalanced and insecure so the psychopaths themselves can be the only source of security and comfort. Making people dependent, and controlling them through that dependency.
Identity Politics, or Image Politics, amplified by the effects of social media, is this at a macro scale. Forcing people to find confidence from being obedient, and pride in how well they play the role chosen for them. The only source of confidence and pride allowed are through the things people are given to “discover”.
Your identity will be given to you, and you will believe it makes you unique.
Your image will be sold to you, and you will act as though you are an agent of change.
It is a shame. Great things can be achieved if we work together openly and honestly. Great change can occur without skulduggery and subterfuge. It only requires three things; sound ideas, maturity, and communication.
