I like art to be like a candied apple with a razor blade hidden inside.

Candied apples, by themselves, are boring and repetitive. Razor blades, all alone, are visible and cause people to be cautious or avoid altogether. This is why a razor blade exposed, on its own, can only connect to people who already agree with it.

Most often, serious artists are razor blades themselves, and they have to learn how to make candied apples. Mostly, razor blades lack the patience for this process. In some cases, a group of people can come together; the razor blade is allow to be themselves while the others work to be the candied apple around them. This is a complicated arrangement, as razor blades tend to be emotionally claustrophobic.

Every so often, very rarely, if the environment adjusts favorably, a razor blade can be inserted into an onion. It is natural for people to bond closely with four to six others, moderately with twenty to forty others, and loosely with one hundred fifty to two hundred others.

When the moment is just right, these layers can work together to create the supreme art.
