There is a commercial we all must suffer through, as we suffer all commercials. It is the one where Mathew McConaughey is dressed up as a cowboy and pontificates about AI; an analogy where AI is the new “wild west” and data is the new gold. It is a horrible analogy. Most likely written by someone who is focused only on money.

A more accurate analogy, one that includes many more aspects of our society and technology’s relationship with it, is that Data is the new fire and AI is the internal combustion engine.

Perhaps the marketing people should use AI to make their commercials about AI.
