Money is evil.
A necessary evil.
It is necessary to get the things we need to survive. What makes it evil is that it can take over our identity, personality, and soul.
Good and evil is about who makes the choice. Right and wrong is about right and wrong. A good person will make mistakes and make wrong choices. But, since it was their choice it is very easy for them to learn and atone for the mistake. Evil imposes choices on others, which makes it hard for those people to understand what is right and wrong, what their role actually is, and how they can learn and atone for any mistakes.
When money takes over a person’s soul, that person lives with the delusion that money itself is justification. Everything they do is measured in terms of money gained or money lost. All of the choices they make are in alignment of that perspective, which means they are not making choices at all. The money is making the choices, and they are simply following obediently along.
Identity, personality, and soul is best understood by what we are willing to sacrifice, not by what we have attained. A person is considered to have a strong sense of self when they are comfortable saying no thank you to the seemingly opulent offers made to them.
