This story is a political allegory.

There is a humble guy, lives a quiet life caring for his parents. A team of hackers and con artists come along intent on exploiting the guy. These crooks are all active or retired CIA looking to use their trade craft to get a little something for themselves for a change.

What they do is hack their, the guy and his parents, phones and computers and secretly create a barrier between them and the outside world. So that communication and interaction goes through them. Thus, the hackers can not only have fraudulent interactions in their name, but also filter and censor the actual conversations they are trying to have.

Once this barrier is in place, the crooks then begin to isolate the guy by impersonating him and making phone calls to the police and such complaining about everything. This makes everyone want to stay away from the guy and suspect his state of mind.

After everyone has developed a negative impression of the guy, the crooks then use his stolen identity to do things that make it look like he would be draining his parent’s accounts. This like online gambling and porn accounts, and interactions with members of the local underground.

All the while the crooks are slowly draining the accounts for themselves. The guy and his parents are unaware because their computers have been hacked and set up to hide the extra activity.

In the end, no one believed the guy when he said that he didn’t do it.
