Today, we live in a society where the young have no hope for the future. There is nothing they can count on, or to plan for as part of a community. Thus, they are forced to fend for themselves. It is a world of instant gratification, or nothing at all.

They are intelligent, motivated, and computer savvy. They are being trained to use this energy for their own satisfaction, which, conveniently, aligns with corporate interests.

Like the Sea People of old, the youth will destroy our society in a sustained wave of selfish destruction. They will cannibalize the achievements of their parents and grandparents generations. 

… And I am not too certain this will be all bad.
