A person could do far more to ensure freedom and liberty by following the rules of the road, stopping at stop signs and lights, using turn signals, keeping within the speed limit, and staying alert, than they could by fighting and dying on any battlefield.

It is here that we must undo millennia of conditioning. A boastful arrogant display of dominance can never offer anyone freedom. It can only offer slavery to a different king.

The ultimate price of freedom is not sacrificing our life, but sacrificing our ego. Living peacefully with a fair compromise is a sacrifice for freedom and liberty far greater than any man in uniform has ever made.

Everyday acts of civility, generosity, and patience are what gives us our freedom. To move forward we must let go of the past by sacrificing the arrogance and ego.

The true price of freedom is humility.
