The only way to elevate others is to steadfastly resist their efforts to drag you down to their level. It is a basic principle of evolution; even though they will lose the battle, the fight has a small impact on their behavior. Over time those small impacts add up.

A prophet of evolution plays the game at a higher level. They initiate a fight they know they can’t win with the awareness that others will inherit something valuable from the prophet’s behavior during the fight.
