Everyone has a unique perspective of the world we live in, as well as themselves in this world. Our perspective guides how we build the behavior structures of our life. However, having our own perspective does not mean that it has value. We might be clever and our logic solid, but in the end, as always, it is the environment that decides on value.

Overall, the environment dictates that the purpose of sex is to reproduce. However, there are three other reasons people will have sex.

• Fun and entertainment.
• Stress relief and mood management.
• Social and emotional bonding.

It is perfectly acceptable for individuals to prioritize one of the other reasons for having sex over reproduction within their perspective of themselves in this world. And, it is perfectly acceptable for individuals to build the structures of their behavior around their perspective of sex. From there it is a question whether or not the environment accepts it.

Not unlike driving a car. We each have our own car and drive by our own perception of what is safe and acceptable. So long as we do not hinder others too much or endanger anyone, all is generally fine. But, consider how much trust, how much faith we have to have in the other drivers on the road in order to operate our vehicles properly. Without that trust we would never get out of the driveway.

Another example is money. It is necessary for people to have many different perspectives of money for our society to sustain itself. Some people need to be focussed intensely on money, while others must completely ignore it to function properly in their necessary roles. There is no right or wrong, only what works. The same is true for many things, including sex.

Societies will always grow and evolve. It is impossible for us to know what the structure of our future society will look like. As we know that our current society depends on people having different perspectives and building their lives around those perspectives, we also know this will also be necessary in the future.
