"going with the flow" and "exerting control".
Not knowing which is right
and which is wrong.

The only way out is to
constantly, with the dedicated humility of ritualized prayer,
remind ourselves of who we are
and what our own goals are.

The pain of purgatory comes
from knowing that our own future can only be achieved when we
allow our past to fall apart,..
witnessing every moment of collapse.
