In a connected community, the energy of telling and maintaining a lie radiates outward like an acid tidal wave. It burns away at the bonds of relationships, often without any logical awareness of the disconnection. Once disconnected, people drift apart naturally and form new bonds. In this manner the deck gets reshuffled and the game continues.

There are people who do this intentionally, strategically, in an effort to get a better hand to play. Or, as there are bonds that cannot be broken, the lies can be used to isolate people, making sure that no outside bonds can ever form,.. like stashing an ace up their sleeve. For these people, the victims, with no hope of release, the acid tidal wave begins to erode away at their personality.

This process is fractal, and can destroy people and entire cultures alike.
