A society, a system, that pressures individualism on a species that has evolved to be tribal creates a mental health crisis, and unresolvable social conflict.

Children raised to value independence over purpose, being a wholly unique individual over being part of a functioning team, will have to battle the deeply ingrained need to feel the comfortable, reassuring embrace of being part of a healthy tribe.

This produces narcissists who cannot understand why the world is not falling at their feet and praising their wholly unique display of individuality and independence. Narcissists who will want to manufacture the sensation of being loved at any cost.

Humans are the only creature on planet Earth to have an industrial structure AND a social structure. We started with just a social structure, but slowly we are trying to include an industrial structure. This is the battle that has propelled civilization forward. Humanity will blossom when we achieve a sustainable balance; where the wolves and bees respect each other; not a moment before.
