It is almost impossible to challenge a person with multiple personalities on their choices and behavior. Either the personality we are talking to has no idea of what is going on and sincerely believes they are innocent, or we instinctively know that we are not talking to the same person and soften our intent to where we are impotent.

A nation without strong centralized leadership has multiple personalities. The clandestine services, the military, the banks,.. all work in their own interest. Then, actors\politicians arrive with a fake smile on their face and offer their condolences to the victims in a grand gesture of camaraderie.

In the end, to survive, a person must choose one of the personalities to hold accountable for the entire individual and ignore the rest. It is wise to choose the most dangerous one.
