An artist sits in their workspace,
trying to focus through their frustration
to see what they are missing.

There is an image in their mind they wish to convey, but getting it right has been elusive. The image is not a picture, it is a human mental image. It has pictures, sounds, smells and tastes,

certain people coming and going, and physical and emotional experiences. All filtered through a well recorded history of embarrassment and trauma.

The artist wants to convey all of this, folded up neatly, in one two dimensional piece. So the consumer will end up knowing all the reasons and emotions from the short period of time they will experience the piece of art.

The frustration they are trying to peer through is the awareness of how much they sacrificed, how much they neglected, to share the images in their mind. This frustration gives the artist’s work an aura; it imbues their works with a certain energy. If the artist gets it right, and if they are lucky, the public will connect with this energy, because it is a familiar energy of shared experience, and allow the human mental image to unfold itself within their minds.

The human brain is far more complex,
far more nuanced than any computer.
Simply making a bigger, faster computer,..

doesn’t even come close.
