A Fractal Dialectic
There are two kinds of adults; those who don’t remember the crappy things they did to others when they were young, and those who do. Of the adults who remember, there are two groups; those who are honest about their past and those who pretend like they don’t remember.
Those who truly don’t remember are lucky bastards. They might not all be simple people, but they are all easy to adapt to as they will never change.
There is misery for the adults who are pretending like they don’t remember,.. they never develop emotionally or spiritually, and as they get older it gets harder for them to maintain the illusion. They suffer long nights of self abuse and regret as the memories simply refuse to go away. Nevertheless, the worst position to be in, by far, is to be a person who is aware and honest of their past, but has to cope with repressed individuals pretending like they don’t remember… because the repressed fight to make all around them repressed as well.
