This whole gas stove thing, it is trolling to be certain. They throw something less important in people’s faces with the intention of causing a reaction that distracts everyone from things that are more important. However, there is also value to be found in it, once a person takes the time to peel the grape.
The truth is that if we wish to remain competitive in this world, if we wish to really increase our efficiency, we need to look at infrastructure. Infrastructure is the cornerstone of productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness. Do we need both electric and gas infrastructure going to each home in residential areas? I am sure that the vanity of narcissists will say that they need to cook their evening meal with gas because there is such a huge difference from that of electric. But, even if there is a difference, is that difference worth the expenditure in resources and effort to maintain a redundant infrastructure? It would be simpler and safer to reserve natural gas for industrial and commercial use.
Put a gas line down Main Street to service the restaurants and factories, and leave it at that. At home, with the advances of new technology, electric is good enough to heat and cook with. If you really wish to be hip and trendy, impress your friends with an old fashioned wood stove. That is, after all, how food is supposed to be cooked.
