The greatest sign of approaching famine is how, in many different ways, people are relentlessly working to remove themselves from their environment. Physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually.
The danger of the growing wealth gap is that leaders who are aware of being a minority are much more likely to be brutal and violent to the people in order to maintain their power.
By its very nature, “empire” is minority rule by a ruling class. Empires depend on constant infighting within the poor and working class regardless of race, gender, or religion.
The catch-22 of social politics:
~ The more casual we are, in fashion and language, the more we have to conform to be accepted.
~ The more structured and disciplined we are, the less we have to conform to be accepted.
To work effectively with other people requires humility. Even to be a leader requires humility. This is what we are lacking in this world: humility.
Only if every person could communicate their needs effectively and negotiate a compromise with satisfaction of equality on both sides, would we be able to live without leaders.
