The story that is being shouted out everywhere is that Elon Musk is a “Tony Stark” hero of the universe, and has bought Twitter to preserve the freedom of speech; saving democracy. These days, if a story is shouted out everywhere it most likely is not true.

Elon Musk has a long and intimate history with government agencies who have displayed disinterest in the freedom of speech. Thus, I can only assume that Twitter’s independent efforts to manage the narrative were clunky and insufficient, so Elon Stark was sent to fold it into the centralized and streamlined NSA/CIA/FBI system of narrative control.
