Corporations groom children to be consumers... or laborers.
(More and more these are not the same.)
The military grooms children to be soldiers.
The police groom children to be afraid.
The TV grooms children to escape.
The pharma industry grooms children to rely on drugs.

The solution has always been the same... 
never more rules and regulations, just good parenting.
Helping children discover and understand the context of this world, and make good choices for themselves.

The education system grooms children to distrust their parents.
