To work together with someone as equals,
we have to be able to engage both as leader and follower;
sometimes dominant and other times subordinate.

American culture nurtures people to be one or the other,
making it impossible for anyone to work together as equals.

Huge problems arise as dominant minded people ignore and
deflect away from the things they are insecure about,
and subordinate minded people avoid taking charge of
the things they know better about…

because they do not want the abuse from the dominant minded,
who constantly work to keep them in their place.
