In our competitive world there are winners, losers, and untouchables. The untouchables are so successful they do not have to compete.
Being a winner only has value if it is a path to becoming untouchable. Otherwise, the need to prove over and over again that we are winners is only being a loser in disguise. (There are some untouchables who are still locked in their own need for competition. They are destroying themselves and the world around them.)
The trick of this existence is to know that there is more than one kind of untouchable. There are people who become physically untouchable, intellectually untouchable, emotionally untouchable, and spiritually untouchable. Each group is completely foreign to the others. Each group works to convince everyone that their perspective of the world is the only right perspective of the world.
A healthy civilization requires all of these groups together, equally.
