Religious, political, and now science fanatics are all the same; they all use their beliefs to justify dehumanizing people who disagree with them. The reality is that they simply wish to distance themselves from people they do not know or trust,.. which is natural.

It is possible for people to respectfully distance themselves, but it takes maturity. Fanatics need to project so much blame and toxicity.
