An ode to corporate America.
My parents did not raise their children to take care of their parents; like the old days when it was customary for the oldest daughter. My parents did not take care of their parents, thus their children never knew of it in their lives. The modern world promised to relieve people of this burden with new and efficient institutions and facilities. My parents were fully modern people,.. but that promise fell apart. Now, my parents are lost; trying to insinuate their children into being responsible for them, Into taking care of them, without giving an inch or considering the big, long term picture. But their children did not plan for it; did not build their lives with this thought in mind. And now, along with them, my parents' children are lost.
