I don’t believe in psychics.
Whether they are reading tarot cards and astrology charts,
or spreadsheets and computer models.
No one can predict the future.

The problem is not in the ability to perceive outside our senses,
or the value of the data collected by instruments,
the problem is that nature is far too complex,
even for the most potent AI, and
no one is open minded enough to accept reality as it is.
Everyone is biased by their experiences and aspirations;
towards what they love or towards what they fear.
And all too often these are exactly the same thing.

The only people who believe they can predict the future are fanatics.
Fanatics make sound management impossible;..
they only focus on one thing, and
act like their knowledge is perfect and written in stone.

Good management involves a million, billion variables,
and never assumes perfection.
