I, for one,
am for the sharks.

We could stand to lose a bunch of humans;
without even putting a dent in the population.

Not so with sharks.

I fear they are just taking the liver
and culling the rest.
Like ivory poachers,
or Euro-Americans slaughtering bison for the hide
one hundred fifty years ago.

Capitalism Always Wins.

The concept to research is Carrying Capacity;
this is the number of individuals an ecosystem can sustain before adding just one more causes a collapse in the ecosystem and,
subsequently, the population.

At some point we must accept that our survival
requires us to allow some loss.
