The very nature of social media pressures and encourages people to react without structure or reasoned thought. Strong, sustainable communities cannot be built without structure or reasoned thought.

(Some have argued, that back in the 60’s Ken Kesey was part of a covert operation to distribute LSD to the anti-war movement in order to destabilize it’s increasingly reasoned structure. It worked,.. for a little while.)

When something evokes a reaction, I will write with pen and paper until the energy drains away. Invariably, within the mess of words puked onto paper there is at least one interesting sentence or idea that can be further processed into a more reasoned and structured response.

Slowly, over time, more frequently with continued practice, different ideas born from different reactions will fit together in ways imagination alone could never connect.

It is a skill learned from sports; never let anyone get you off your game.
