The condition of owning a pet is psychologically related to the condition of owning slaves. Seriously,.. How disturbing is it that we have bred animals to be dependent on humans? (And if it isn’t properly dependent on us, it gets punished!.. Just like the relationship between dictator and the general public.)

Does anyone honestly believe that gene editing will not end up just being parents designing their children to be obedient and dependent on them? (Which, of course, serves the needs of any dictatorship perfectly. If we are inclined to think in fractals.)

We love our pets…. we even depend on their “unconditional” love.

What do we do when one generation measures success in terms of the obedience of another generation? The environment is ever changing, and each generation adapts to a very specific link in that constant chain. One generation cannot prepare their children for a future environment the parents cannot predict or understand. (It is the fun part of tyranny… the path of evolution flows towads the greatest risk. And when the greatest risk is a brutal dictatorship, life adapts to survive and overcome it.)

The collapse of societies and economies come when one generation takes their success for granted and works against the following generations so they cannot find success on their own terms,.. from their own interpretation of their environment.

Too much parental control is as bad as no parental control at all. (Too much government control, military control, corporate control, is as bad as no control at all.)
