In a population, reactions to anything will always occur across a bell shaped curve. Mostly resulting from game theory, the fight to be dominant, rather than people’s actual hopes, beliefs, and ideologies.

If a person is not ready to receive responses and reactions from the entire curve, regardless of if and how they intend to reply, they should not state or post anything publicly.

Many people want to be popular, but they don’t want to be challenged or criticized. To me, this is indicative of a person who is playing a political game of dominance rather than trying to share or convey an idea or perspective that is important to them.

In any field or profession, the people who rise to the top are the ones who can shoulder the constant criticism without becoming negative, abusive, or toxic. Those who rise past that are able to privately include the criticism into their own development process.

It is perfectly acceptable to have our own perspective and not want to listen to anyone else, so long as we are willing to accept full responsibility for the results. But it is insane to, at the same time, pretend to be smarter than everyone.
