To be young and immature is to react thoughtlessly to the environment.
The older we get, the more capable we become at resisting this urge to react.
Good in some ways, devastating in others.
Our character is measured by how this behavior develops and evolves...
and which pressures end up having the most influence in this process;
experience, logic, or desire.
Every problem in this real world has more than one solution.
Which solution we choose is a reflection of our character and identity.
Thus, the rise of identity politics.
(The meek shall inherit the Earth.
Those who use the meek as political leverage will not.)
So many people in this world do not like the reflection
their character and personality create.
They get defensive and angry
when people treat them respectively to how they behave.
(If only our society made the effort to teach the young
how this interactive world works.)
It is the greatest fear of authority that the young evolve to discover
their own character and identity in relation to their environment.
Beauty is one thing, but I find that a person’s maturity is inversely proportional to the height of their heels.
