There were strict social norms in the fifties, a hectic decade of transition, and then a period of social freedom lasting from the seventies through the oughties.

Now we are traveling back, already in another chaotic transitional decade, which will leave us at the beginning of a new period of strict social norms… Just different norms.

Norms focused less on the roles we play, and more on the things we achieve.
