Insecurity is the foundation of all communities.

Everyone is insecure in one way or another. And all people will take at least one of their insecurities and project it onto the most vulnerable person around them. Then, they will look for others to connect to in support of their narrative. To enable this, they must increasingly generalize their prejudice so more people can associate to it. From this process, friendships and communities are built.

War and other conflicts are forms of communication; shared experiences that bring people together,.. but only if both sides are equally invested. Like an argument a married couple would have, one that has no purpose other than to release energy, War is the necessary release and blending of emotional energy between nations. However, advanced weapons that remove the intimate nature of conflict prevent this from happening. As a ‘texting’ argument with a spouse does not fulfill the basic need to release and balance emotional energy.

Humans have evolved faster than other species because we are the only ones to pursue conflict for the sake of conflict. All other species only pursue conflict to eat. Would women today be so united and strong if they all did not have the shared experience of sexual harassment? This is not said to condone harassment, but to frame a larger view of how evolution works.

Evolution, for humans, will increase to an even more rapid pace when we accept that human emotion is a force of nature. Especially when people start massing together and rising like a flood…. adaptation must occur for those who are a part of the flood, as well as for those who are not apart of the flood and need to figure out a way to survive it.

There will never be a day when all humans acknowledge and accept responsibility for all of their insecurities maturely.

It is easier to believe a lie, or a fantasy, than to take responsibility for truth.
