There is a type of empathic people who measure power and dominance by the ability to appear calm. Thus, for them, making another person lose control of their behavior is the same as winning or being right.
These empaths learn to assert this sense of dominance by making mountains out of molehills.
(But there are never enough molehills. Especially when you really need one!)
To adapt, they learn to find molehills to exploit by emotionally reading the insecurities and weaknesses in people.
(But everyone adapts; people let go of their insecurities and confront their own weaknesses, and these empaths can see this as a personal affront.)
Then, to stay ahead, they must learn to manufacture their own molehills… specifically crafted to maximize efficiency in a particular environment, to a desired result.
(But that path often leads to self-abuse and isolation trying to make others feel guilty for it.)
Some empaths are so good at reading their environment, crafting the perfect molehill, and then expertly turning it into a mountain to stand upon (looking down across their domain) that it really should be considered an art.
